Job summary

Mahogany Company of Mays Landing seeks a skilled CAD Designer to join our marine-focused team. You will develop detailed 2D and 3D schematics using Rhino and SolidWorks, contributing to project execution and manufacturability.

Collaborate with engineers, apply GD&T, and produce clear design documentation and assembly drawings for manufacturing. Strong attention to detail and drafting standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CAD software including Rhino 3D and SolidWorks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge is beneficial.
• Familiarity with drafting standards and practices related to construction and mechanical design.
• Ability to create accurate schematics and system designs that meet project requirements.
• Experience with technical writing for documentation purposes is preferred.
• Knowledge of 2D animation techniques is a plus for visual presentations of designs.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D models using Rhino 3D and SolidWorks, including surface and mesh modeling.
• Develop and maintain accurate drafting documentation, including assembly drawings and schematics.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure proper design.
• Apply GD&T principles.
• Engage in technical writing to produce clear documentation on design processes and project requirements.
• Participate in system design discussions to enhance product functionality and manufacturability.
• Support the assembly process by providing detailed drawings for manufacturing teams.
