Job summary

Saltleaf Marina is seeking an Assistant Marina Manager in Florida to oversee day-to-day marina operations, safety, and guest experience. The role supports marina and shuttle/charter activities, supervises dock staff, and ensures regulatory compliance with a focus on hospitality and service.

The position includes leadership of dock teams, coordination of vessel readiness and schedules, and hands-on governance of safety programs, with occasional captain duties to cover operational needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years marina, dock operations or marine services experience, with supervisory background.
• USCG Merchant Mariner Credential with Master license appropriate to tonnage required.
• TWIC and compliance with drug/alcohol testing; CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all dock operations, including vessel arrivals/departures and slip assignments.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and improvements; ensure equipment is clean and functional.
• Lead shuttle/charter operations; manage schedules, staffing, and on-time performance.
• Operate as Captain for shuttle/charter vessels when needed; maintain safety briefings and logs.
• Maintain records of slip occupancy, incidents, staffing, and operations; assist budgeting and inventory.
