Job summary

Hawks Cay Resort in Marathon, FL seeks a Dock Master to lead the safe, efficient marina operations, oversee dock and slip management, fuel dock services, vessel movements, and a team of marina staff, reporting to the Director of Activities & Marina.

You will ensure compliance with USCG and local regulations, maintain records, manage budgeting and inventory, hire and coach staff, and deliver exceptional guest experiences for transient and long‑term boaters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of marina or waterfront operations experience, with supervisory background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vessel handling, docking procedures, marina systems, and fuel operations.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily marina operations including docking/undocking, slip assignments, utility connections, and fuel dock services.
• Manage slip inventory, reservations, and transient dockage to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Ensure docks, fuel pier, and surrounding areas meet resort standards for cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
