Job summary

Dock Master at Building and Land Technology in Stamford, CT, oversees daily marina operations and delivers first‑class customer service to boaters and guests. This hands‑on role leads dock staff, coordinates vessel activity, and ensures safety and efficiency across Harbor Point marinas during the boating season.

The candidate should have 3+ years in marina operations, strong hospitality mindset, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in marina operations or related waterfront environment.
• Knowledge of docking procedures and marina safety.
• Experience supervising dockhands or marina staff.
• Strong customer service with hospitality mindset.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license; boating license/certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dock operations to ensure a safe, organized marina experience.
• Serve as primary contact for marina customers, boaters, guests and staff.
• Assist with vessel arrivals/departures, docking, line handling, and slip assignments.
• Coordinate daily slip activity and communicate docking procedures.
• Supervise and train dockhands and seasonal marina staff.
• Maintain professionalism and high customer service standards.
• Monitor docks, utilities, equipment, and safety concerns.
• Enforce marina rules and safety procedures.
• Support seasonal opening/closing and peak boating activity.
• Maintain marina logs and incident reports.
