Job summary

Cleveland Metroparks is seeking a Restaurant Floor Manager to lead the front-of-house team at the Patrick S. Parker Community Sailing Center. You will train servers, hosts, and bussers, ensuring punctual, knowledgeable service and a welcoming dining experience.

The role involves hands-on dining room support, expo duties, and collaboration with the General Manager on operations and events. A leadership mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in restaurant management, hospitality or related field.
• Minimum two years of food service, customer service or management experience; supervisory experience required.
• Food Protection Manager Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate front-of-house seasonal staff.
• Ensure a positive guest experience, address concerns, and support event promotion.
• Oversee daily service operations, greeting guests and ensuring accuracy.
• Provide hands-on support on the dining room floor (expo, running food, bussing, seating).
• Perform administrative tasks including cash-outs, deposits, petty cash, and Micros data.
• Assist the General Manager with operational needs and special projects.
• Support event planning, seating, scheduling, and staffing.
