Job summary

Cleveland Metroparks is seeking an Assistant General Manager for The Galley, located in the Sailing Center at the Patrick S. Parker Community Sailing Center.

Working with the General Manager, you will lead daily restaurant operations, mentor staff, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. You will supervise front-of-house duties, manage scheduling, assist with events, monitor quality, handle guest concerns, and contribute to revenue reporting and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of restaurant leadership experience, including supervisory roles.
• Experience with restaurant POS systems; Toast preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate restaurant staff with coaching.
• Oversee daily restaurant operations and maintain a visible floor presence.
• Address guest concerns and ensure high food quality, presentation and hospitality.
• Assist with planning events and private functions, including contracts and staffing.
• Develop staff schedules and monitor labor needs for efficient service.
• Oversee deposits, petty cash, invoices and vendor relationships.
• Manage inventory and purchasing; order supplies and monitor stock levels.
• Assist GM by creating revenue reports and supporting operations.
