Job summary

Cleveland Metroparks seeks an Assistant General Manager for The Galley at the Sailing Center. This role partners with the General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, staff performance, and guest satisfaction on the dining floor.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, coaches staff effectively, and can step in for the GM when needed. Strong POS experience and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of restaurant leadership experience; prior floor-manager exposure preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; strong knowledge of front-of-house operations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate restaurant staff; provide coaching to develop employees.
• Oversee daily restaurant operations and maintain a visible floor presence to support staff.
• Address guest concerns and ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hospitality.
• Assist with planning and coordinating special events and private functions; manage contracts and staffing.
• Develop staff schedules and monitor labor needs for efficiency.
• Oversee daily deposits, petty cash, invoices, and vendor relationships.
• Manage inventory and purchasing; monitor stock levels and supply needs.
• Assist General Manager by creating revenue reports and other tasks as needed.
