Job summary

CHAOS Industries in Washington, DC seeks a Marketing & Communications Operations Coordinator to keep our MarCom team running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll manage calendars, coordinate campaigns and events, and maintain templates and files for quick access across the team.

You are highly organized with 2–5 years in marketing/communications or project operations, excellent written and verbal communication, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, project management, operations, agency, or a related field.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects, deadlines, deliverables, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, proactive problem-solver in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the team's annual and ongoing marketing and communications calendars.
• Coordinate planning for campaigns, events, launches, publications, announcements, and other MarCom activities.
• Maintain shared files, templates, resources, and documentation for easy access.
• Prepare materials for team meetings and leadership updates.
• Track decisions, action items, and next steps with follow-through.
• Streamline processes and improve team efficiency; act as source of truth for timelines and deliverables.
• Serve as day-to-day contact for vendors, agencies, freelancers, and external partners.
• Coordinate project scopes, timelines, meetings, and communications with vendors.
• Track contracts, statements of work, invoices, budgets, and related details.
