The Medical Assistance Program (MAP) administers public health insurance programs, including Medicaid, for the City of New York. Applying individuals and families are approved for eligibility against applicable Federal and State guidelines. Those found to be eligible can use coverage provided to access doctors, medication, and other health care services at little or no cost.
MAP is recruiting for one (1) Principal Administrative Associate, Level III to function as a MAP Project Coordinator under the general direction of the Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC). The Project Coordinator performs administrative work to assist the MAP ADC in overseeing Medicaid program areas, managing the Case Review process, sharing knowledge, and increasing core competencies of procedures and policies. The Project Coordinator assists with synthesizing and tracking information from meetings and reports, tracking productivity, identifying trends, and disseminating relevant information across program areas.
The responsibilities include:
Hours/Schedule: 9AM – 5PM (FLEX)
Salary Range: $64,137 - $73,758
Minimum Qualifications include a bachelor's degree with three years of relevant experience, or an associate degree with four years of experience, or a high school diploma with five years of experience, including supervisory experience. Education and experience may be substituted as specified.
Preferred Skills include MAP experience, strong communication skills, supervisory ability, proficiency in Excel & Word, and problem-solving skills.
