Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Set up, tack, and weld ferrous and nonferrous materials, understanding and utilizing applicable welding procedure specifications.
  2. Perform all welding duties in compliance with applicable welding codes, with emphasis on aesthetic appearance and criticality of application.
  3. Understand and apply weld inspection criteria, and perform cutting, grinding, fitting, and bending of parts as required.
  4. Clean and deburr welds to meet customer and code requirements.
  5. Collaborate with team members to assemble and weld large components.
  6. Test and inspect welds to meet quality requirements, and perform rework and repairs as needed.
  7. Salvage and rebuild parts as directed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to interpret complicated drawings, welding symbols, and use shop tools and measurements.
  • Equivalent to four years of high school plus technical training in welding.
  • Ability to pass required weld tests associated with applicable standards.
  • GMAW Certification or 3-5 years of equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience welding large, heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience welding with stainless steel filler metal and equipment.
Pay

Starting at $26.13/hour, with certification $31.14/hour, up to $32.26/hour. 2nd shift premium: $0.70/hour.
