ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Set up, tack and weld ferrous and nonferrous materials.
  2. Understand and utilize applicable welding procedure specifications.
  3. Perform all welding duties in compliance with applicable welding codes.
  4. Emphasis on aesthetic appearance of welds and criticality of application are special considerations for this job.
  5. Understand and apply the applicable weld inspection criteria.
  6. Cut, grind, fit, and bend parts to fit weldments as required.
  7. Clean and deburr welds to satisfy customers and applicable weld codes.
  8. Work together with team members to assemble and weld large components.
  9. Perform testing and inspection of welds to meet applicable quality requirements.
  10. Perform weld rework to applicable weld codes.
  11. Perform weld repairs per accepted procedures.
  12. Salvage and rebuild parts as directed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Requires the use of complicated drawings, welding symbols, shop mathematics, weld shop tools, protractors, scales, squares, calipers, etc.
  2. Equivalent to four years of high school plus technical training in welding.
  3. Ability to pass required weld tests associated with applicable welding standards.
  4. GMAW Certification or 3-5 years of equivalent experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Previous experience welding large, heavy industrial equipment.
  2. Experience welding with stainless steel filler metal and associated equipment.
Pay

Hiring rate of pay is $26.13, once certified, hourly rate of pay is $31.14, with the capability of up to a hourly rate of pay of $32.26.

2nd shift premium: $0.70/per hour
