ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set up, tack, and weld ferrous and nonferrous materials, understanding and utilizing applicable welding procedure specifications.
  • Perform welding in compliance with applicable codes, focusing on the aesthetic appearance and criticality of welds.
  • Understand and apply weld inspection criteria.
  • Cut, grind, fit, and bend parts to fit weldments as required.
  • Clean and deburr welds to meet quality and code requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to assemble and weld large components.
  • Test and inspect welds to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform weld rework and repairs per procedures and codes.
  • Salvage and rebuild parts as directed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to interpret complex drawings, welding symbols, and use shop mathematics, tools, and measurement instruments.
  • Equivalent to four years of high school plus technical training in welding.
  • Ability to pass required weld tests according to standards.
  • GMAW Certification or 3-5 years of equivalent experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience welding large, heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience welding with stainless steel filler metal and related equipment.
Pay

Starting rate of $26.13/hour; once certified, $31.14/hour, with potential up to $32.26/hour.

2nd shift premium: $0.70/hour.
