Job summary

Silgan Plastics is seeking a production associate to promote safety, manage resin and colorant usage, and document daily scrap and line activities in a fast-paced plastics environment.

Responsibilities include setting up blenders, calibrating formulas, transporting materials, and ensuring proper disposal of used gaylords while maintaining clean work areas and clear communication with the shift team.

Qualifications

• Lifting and carrying heavy loads safely as part of daily tasks.
• Ability to climb, bend and stoop repeatedly in a fast-paced environment.
• Multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment and adhere to safety policies.
• Verify resin and colorant usage per PIC sheets and document on OEE form.
• Complete daily Scrap report detailing resin, colorant usage, regrind and scrap.
• Set up blenders, calibrate and change material formulas as needed.
• Transport materials to/from the warehouse and perform line clearances.
• Ensure used gaylords are defaced and disposed properly.
• Keep grinders and day bins clean; monitor regrind and dust.
