Job summary

Silgan Plastics in the United States is seeking a production associate to support packaging operations. You will promote a safe working environment and ensure accurate resin and colorant usage across production lines.

Responsibilities include setting up blenders, calibrating materials, conducting daily scrap reporting, operating railcar unloading systems, and maintaining clean work areas while communicating changes to the oncoming shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs and performs frequent physical tasks as listed.
• Demonstrates multitasking in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment and follow safety policies.
• Verify resins and colorants on each production line and document usage.
• Complete daily Scrap reports detailing resin, colorant usage, regrind and scrap.
• Set up blenders, calibrate and change material formulas as needed.
• Operate railcar unloading system and ensure no spills on the ground.
• Keep grinders, blenders, day bins clean and free of dust and regrind.
• Communicate production changes and shift activity to the next team.
