Job summary

Silgan Plastics Corporation is seeking a production support associate to promote safety and manage resin and colorant usage across multiple lines. You will document scrap, calibrate blenders, and adjust material formulas to meet customer standards.

This role requires physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs and routine line clearances. Attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and clear communication across shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent physical tasks required.
• Mechanical aptitude a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment and adhere to Silgan safety policies.
• Verify resins and colorants per PIC sheet and document on OEE form.
• Complete daily Scrap report detailing resin, colorant usage, regrind and scrap generation.
• Ensure regrind usage on all lines and maintain proper levels at each machine.
• Set up blenders, calibrate and adjust material formulas as needed.
• Evaluate colorant usage and perform visual color checks to prevent overuse.
• Transport material to and from the warehouse and perform line clearances after production.
• Keep grinders, blenders, day bins clean and free of regrind and dust.
• Communicate shift activity and upcoming changes to on-coming staff.
