Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks a Business Unit Manager Manufacturing in Holland, MI to lead plant operations and drive world-class performance across the shop floor. You will guide daily activities, set strategic direction, and mentor manufacturing teams to achieve operational excellence.

With 3–5 years of automotive manufacturing engineering experience, you will optimize processes, reduce costs, and champion lean initiatives to improve productivity and quality while maintaining budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in automotive manufacturing environments.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Strong communication, project management, and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations to achieve world-class performance and manage daily activities.
• Provide technical expertise and management to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
• Develop, review, and maintain budgets and expenses to align with organizational goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams to establish and maintain stable production schedules, labor requirements, and material flow.
• Champion continuous improvement projects, lean manufacturing techniques, and product innovations to enhance operational efficiency.
