Job summary

Thai Summit America is seeking a Manufacturing Training Specialist to develop, coordinate, deliver, and document training programs for our manufacturing teams. The role partners with Production and reports to Human Resources to ensure consistent training, compliance, and workforce readiness, while acting as the subject matter expert on production training.

Responsibilities include hands-on instruction, evaluating competency, maintaining training records, and supporting career development

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in HR, Business, Manufacturing Technology, Education, or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience training employees in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with automotive manufacturing and IATF standards preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and quality management systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and HRIS/LMS software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, hands-on training for manufacturing positions.
• Train employees in standard work instructions, operating procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Ensure consistent and standardized job instruction for new hires.
• Monitor employee progress and provide coaching as needed.
• Evaluate competency prior to independent job assignment.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of every production position.
• Cross-train employees across departments as needed.
• Partner with supervisors to understand staffing and production expectations.
• Observe processes and recommend training improvements.
• Support product launches, equipment changes, and process updates by updating training materials.
• Maintain accurate training records in HRIS/LMS and track certifications.
