LeoForce is seeking a Manufacturing Training Specialist to design, coordinate, and deliver training for manufacturing teams. You will bridge instructional design with hands-on delivery, coaching, and program administration to close skill gaps and ensure alignment with business goals.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish capabilities, collaboration with HR, operations, engineering, quality, and safety, and ownership of onboarding and ongoing development on the production floor.

Qualifications

  • Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning principles.
  • Proven teaching, classroom facilitation or employee training experience.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to explain technical information clearly across levels.
  • Excellent written communication for training materials and process documentation.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple initiatives.
  • Basic financial knowledge and experience managing or tracking a budget.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs, skill gaps, and certification requirements across manufacturing, engineering, quality, safety, and other functions.
  • Design, develop, and update training programs, manuals, videos, e-learning content, and other instructional materials.
  • Lead new hire onboarding, including training on HR policies, workplace expectations, and procedures.
  • Deliver classroom and production floor training on processes, equipment, safety, quality standards, and SOPs.
  • Create and maintain standard work instructions clearly explaining tasks and processes.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to reinforce learning and proper procedure adherence.
  • Coordinate internal trainers and schedules to deliver a consistent program.
  • Assess employee skills through practical evaluations and support cross-training.

Manufacturing Training Specialist

Job Details

The Manufacturing Training Specialist will design, coordinate, and deliver training for new and existing employees. Training topics include onboarding, HR policies, manufacturing processes, equipment operation, safety, quality standards, and workplace skills.

This role combines instructional design with hands-on delivery, coaching, and program administration. You will identify skill gaps, develop clear training materials and standard work instructions, assess employee competency, and measure training effectiveness against business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs, skill gaps, and certification requirements across manufacturing, engineering, quality, safety, and other business functions.
  • Design, develop, and update training programs, manuals, videos, e-learning content, and other instructional materials.
  • Lead new hire onboarding, including training on HR policies, workplace expectations, and relevant procedures.
  • Deliver classroom and production floor training on manufacturing processes, equipment, safety protocols, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Create and maintain standard work instructions that clearly explain job tasks and production processes.
  • Provide individual coaching and constructive feedback to reinforce learning and proper procedure adherence.
  • Identify internal trainers and coordinate the schedules and structure needed to deliver a consistent training program.
  • Assess employee skills through practical evaluations, identify development needs, and support cross-training and backup coverage for key job functions.
  • Coordinate internal and external training within the annual budget.
  • Manage training schedules, attendance, records, materials, and facility setup.
  • Track employee progress, evaluate performance following training, and report program effectiveness to management.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve training as equipment, technology, processes, and business needs evolve.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrated teaching, classroom facilitation, or employee training experience.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly to employees with different experience levels.
  • Excellent written communication skills for developing training materials and process documentation.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives.
  • Basic financial knowledge and experience managing or tracking a budget.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • An analytical, practical approach to identifying skill gaps and prioritizing training that delivers the greatest impact.
  • A proactive, professional approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Relevant advanced certifications are a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position works onsite in both classroom and manufacturing settings. Responsibilities may require standing, walking, sitting, reaching, using hands, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as well as occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. Close vision and the ability to communicate during training activities are required.
