Job summary

Anduril Industries is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Manufacturing to design complex mechanical assemblies for PCBA and product-level test systems. You will create fixtures with tight tolerances, integrate DFM/DFT, and work with cross-functional teams to manufacture and test products in air, land, and sea.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or 6+ years of equivalent experience, plus 3+ years in manufacturing-focused design, and the ability to obtain US DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields (or 6+ years of equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience with manufacturing-ready designs.
• Expert capability with at least one Mechanical Design package.
• Experience with contract manufacturers, in-house fabrication, and prototyping processes.
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment (load cells, strain gauges, multimeters).
• Strong root-cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware.
• Experience working on projects integrating electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical assemblies using professional CAD tools.
• Collaborate with rapid fabrication teams or suppliers to source equipment.
• Integrate designs into PDM workflows and product design release processes.
• Incorporate DFM/DFT requirements into products with design teams.
• Develop electromechanical systems with software/electrical engineers.
• Generate test work instructions for technicians and train users.
