Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Manufacturing organization to design complex electromechanical fixtures and assemblies for PCBA and product-level test systems. You’ll work with CAD tools, coordinate with rapid fabrication teams, and ensure designs meet DFM/DFT standards.

You will collaborate with software and electrical engineers to build multi-disciplinary solutions, source equipment, and generate clear test instructions for technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or 6+ years of equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience with designs going to manufacturing.
• Expert capability with at least one mechanical design package (NX or SolidWorks).
• Experience with contract manufacturers, in-house fabrication, and prototyping.
• Familiar with electronics test equipment (load cells, strain gauges, multimeters).
• Strong root cause analysis skills of non-conforming hardware.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiar with Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems.
• Experience integrating electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical assemblies and fixtures for PCBA and test systems.
• Source equipment with rapid fabrication teams or 3rd party suppliers.
• Integrate designs into PDM systems and follow product design release processes.
• Incorporate DFM/DFT requirements into products with design teams.
• Develop complex electromechanical systems with software and hardware engineers.
• Create test work instructions and train technicians on equipment use.
• Identify root causes of failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze test data and document results for defects and improvements.
• Provide feedback to design engineers for product enhancements.
