Job summary

Anduril Industries in Quonset, RI seeks a Manufacturing Test Engineer to develop and implement high-fidelity, automated test procedures for components and systems. You will collaborate with engineering and technicians to advance testing capabilities and scalability in production.

You will design test ecosystems, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure reliable operation of electromechanical hardware while meeting tight development timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in hardware testing and automated test systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, Shell, or others.
• Experience with USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc hardware communication protocols.
• 3+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably test design of electro-mechanical hardware in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with complex electromechanical systems and reliability.
• Experience developing full system test plans and executing them within fast-paced product development cycles.
• Experience with programming/testing sensors, actuators, and electrical components.
• Ability to prototype and run tests from setup to hardware/software implementation.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build a broad range of test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system checks to component validation.
• Develop, execute, and manage test ecosystems to de-risk hardware and meet design intent.
• Perform hands-on, data-driven root cause analysis of electromechanical subsystems.
• Design and implement semi-automated testing equipment and protocols for subsystem characterization.
• Collaborate with design teams to assess risk and own test deployment in production; train technicians.
• Produce and maintain testing logs; develop error-code libraries for fast resolution.
• Create repeatable test processes for MES or other test execution systems.
