CesiumAstro in Austin, TX seeks a Manufacturing Technician II to perform assembly, integration, inspection, and testing of mechanical and electrical components following established procedures. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure products meet specifications and quality requirements.

Ideal candidates have 0-3 years in manufacturing or related fields, experience with hand and power tools, measuring equipment, and reading engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of related experience in manufacturing, production assembly, mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, or related production operations.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical and electrical assembly, and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and manufacturing documentation.
• Understanding of quality standards, inspection techniques, production processes, and safe manufacturing practices.
• Experience applying manufacturing documentation, material handling, and production procedures.

Responsabilités

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components, subassemblies, and products using approved work instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturing procedures.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, production equipment, and test equipment supporting manufacturing activities.
• Perform production tasks, troubleshoot routine assembly issues, and maintain established quality and productivity standards.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring equipment and inspection tools.
• Verify completed assemblies meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Record production, inspection, traceability, and nonconformance information in manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, production control, and supply chain teams supporting production activities.
• Support material handling, equipment setup, inventory accuracy, workstation organization, and continuous production flow.
• Communicate production status, quality concerns, equipment issues, and improvement opportunities to supervisors and team members.
• Apply manufacturing procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and company policies throughout production.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while supporting 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Recommend improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
