Job summary

CesiumAstro is hiring an Assembly Technician I to support assembly, integration, inspection, and testing of products following established procedures. You will work cross-functionally to ensure hardware meets engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements in an on-site Austin environment.

Responsibilities include assembling components, using tools and test equipment, performing inspections, and documenting production data.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in manufacturing technology or related field preferred.
• Less than 1 year of related experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• Foundational knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Proficiency with hand tools, measuring equipment, and basic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components and subassemblies using work instructions and drawings.
• Operate hand tools and production equipment to support manufacturing activities.
• Perform routine production tasks meeting quality and productivity standards.
• Conduct basic visual and dimensional inspections with measuring tools.
• Record production, inspection, and traceability data in manufacturing docs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production activities.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas with 5S practices.
• Suggest improvements to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
