Job summary

CesiumAstro in Texas, Austin is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II to help build and repair high-reliability electronics for satellites and aerospace systems. You will work in a fast-paced startup environment, handling SMT circuit cards, final assemblies, and routine maintenance while collaborating with engineers and production staff.

Experience with SMT/AOI, X-Ray inspection, and ESD/FOD-controlled manufacturing is preferred; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in electronic assembly operations (SMT, AOI, component prep, X-Ray, de-panel, soldering).
• Ability to read schematics and diagrams for assembly.
• Experience in an ESD/FOD-controlled environment.
• Strong attention to detail and keeping a clean workspace.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow strict safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble SMT circuits and final electronics assemblies.
• Interpret schematics and ensure designs are implemented correctly.
• Collaborate with engineers and QA to meet delivery timelines.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory, and shipping/receiving as needed.
