Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group LLC is seeking a Technical Sales, Quoting & Customer Service Specialist to support customers from initial outreach through production and delivery. You will be the primary customer contact, coordinating with engineering, production, quality, and shipping to ensure responsive communication and a smooth experience.

The role blends business development, technical quoting, account management, and customer service, with the mix shifting based on demand and priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales or related roles.
• Outbound prospecting and new customer development.
• Excellent communication by phone, email, video, and in person.
• Coordinate with multiple internal departments.
• Understand customer needs and translate to manufacturing scope.
• Read basic engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Strong math, data-entry, and spreadsheet skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• US citizenship required due to export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new customers and manufacturing opportunities.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and shipping for quotes and handoffs.
• Prepare quotations using machine rates, costs, and lead times.
• Review purchase orders against quotations and resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for customers.
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline and updates on opportunities.
• Represent the company at meetings, trade shows, and events.
• Ensure complete handoff of awarded work to production and operations.
