Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Sterling Heights, MI seeks a Production Supervisor to own departmental scorecard objectives across shifts, drive standardization, manage constraints, and implement continuous improvement through the Ford Production System.

You will coach teams, resolve abnormalities, plan maintenance, ensure resources, and foster a culture of learning and respect on the shop floor to optimize production flow and output.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Ability to interface with plant personnel and management.

Responsibilities

• Confirm standards are in place
• Monitor and confirm manufacturing OS standards are applied plant-wide
• Develop, coach, and support to achieve SQDCPME objectives
• Support issues raised by the teams
• Coach, teach, and feed back on resolution of abnormalities and validate closure
• Provide resources to maintain production flow and confirm inputs meet standards
• Plan maintenance tasks, monitor completion and effectiveness, and drive improvements
• Communication and recognition
• Enable a culture of learning through effective communication
• Respect and encourage respect among team members
• Create a conducive environment for responsibilities and tasks
• Create a Zero Tolerance environment and reaffirm respect
