Nelson Global Products Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead the department(s) toward achieving SQDCP goals.

You will make frontline decisions affecting safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery, while mentoring teams to maintain a safe and high-performing work environment. Responsibilities include maintaining department goals, training and coaching staff, optimizing shift staffing, ensuring resource flow, conducting performance reviews, supporting 5S and CI projects,

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department goals surrounding safety, quality, on time delivery and communicate daily to management, employees, and across shifts.
• Train, develop and hold team members accountable to safety, quality, and production compliance; sustain 5S in all areas.
• Ensure team members are placed appropriately per shift to support production needs and maintain optimum efficiency.
• Ensure flow of resources is maintained and that production items are delivered as needed and used properly.
• Supervise and develop team members; complete performance reviews and manage timekeeping/vacation in timekeeping system.
• Enforce policy compliance; manage team performance through disciplinary processes.
• Facilitate safety investigations and near-miss reviews with safety leadership.
• Support Continuous Improvement projects and promote employee satisfaction.
• Work with HR on employee issues and policy conformance.
• Promote employee satisfaction and follow up on employee relations concerns.
• Work with HR around employee issues, investigation, and policy conformance.
• Keep work area(s) safe and Clean (5S= Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
• Complete timely and accurate paperwork.
• Delegate responsibilities as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
