Job summary

MANITOU Group in Madison, South Dakota, is seeking a capable Manufacturing Lead to direct a line operation and drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity. You will work with the Supervisor to develop staff, manage scheduling systems, and ensure on-time delivery of components to meet customer requirements.

The role emphasizes strong communication, coaching, and team-building skills, with a requirement for a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a high-performing operator.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in running the developed scheduling systems for department operations.
• Develop staff and train requirements for the efficient operation of the department.
• Responsible for the safe operation of the department.
• Ensure delivery of components meeting customer needs in schedule, quantity, and quality.
• Troubleshoot with employees and escalate to Supervisor when needed.
• Train and mentor employees, motivate and coach.
• Oversee workload and organize department.
• Complete documentation within guidelines and timeframes.
• Collaborate with other departments.
• Prioritize workload as new work arrives.
• Maintain OSHA safety compliance.
• Work with leadership to create/implement processes.
• Establish positive relationships with team leads.
• Maintain customer-first attitude and retain employees.
• Delegate projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
