Job summary

Nelson Global Products Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a Quality Inspector to help ensure product conformance and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

You will layout components per drawings, address quality concerns, document inspection results, and support non-conformance (NCMR) processes. Candidates should have 1-2 years in a similar role, strong analytical skills, gauging knowledge, and be able to lift 50 lb and stand most of the time.

Qualifications

  • Quality plans and controls knowledge.
  • Gauging knowledge needed.
  • CMM knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull 50 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to stand, sit and walk at least 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Component and assembled part layout in accordance to drawing
  • Line Romer for quality concerns
  • Support / Engage in solutions driven by deviations requested
  • Support Calibration system (inspection, test equipment, functional gages)
  • Complete capability studies on critical, major and minor characteristics
  • Document & record data collected on inspection forms
  • Promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectations
  • Assist with organization of non-conformance area
  • Support Operations with non-conformance (NCMR) process, inspect parts
  • Follow ITAR processes when appropriate
  • Perform other duties as directed by Manager
