Job summary

Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC in Town of Florida, NY, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our supply chain in a high-volume, lean manufacturing environment. You will operate forklifts, process orders, and ensure accurate receiving, storing and shipping.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, the ability to read, write and speak English, a high school diploma or GED, and experience with automated demand fulfillment systems. First shift starts around 5am with pay at $23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• HS diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• Three or more years of experience required.
• Experience in material handling and shipping/receiving.
• Experience with automated demand fulfillment systems.

Responsibilities

• Operates within a variety of work area(s) to support the supply chain requirements of a continuous flow manufacturing process.
• Identifies process disruptions/malfunctions, troubleshoots the problem and makes routine repairs/adjustments.
• Performs routine inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Focuses on continuous improvement of material movement and KPIs for supply chain planning/forecasting.
• Transports materials/finished product using forklift to designated locations.
• Fulfills orders including entry, administration and shipping.
