Job description

The Production / Manufacturing Team Lead is responsible for the direct support of the Senior Lead / Packaging Management. Ensures performance is consistent with meeting objectives in quality, customer satisfaction, schedule attainment, growth, and overall profitability in line with budgeted goals.

Job Duties

  1. Responsible for identifying training needs of direct reports and assigning training.
  2. Supervise work groups as assigned by the Senior Production Lead.
  3. Complete daily paperwork.
  4. Ensure that finished product meets customer specifications and expectations.
  5. Responsible for timely and cost-effective production of high-quality finished product.
  6. Keep track of production, waste, and downtime.
  7. Conduct performance reviews.
  8. Provide feedback to the Sr. Production Lead regarding employee’s performance, waste, and quality issues and other important items.
  9. Communicate with employees about their overall job performance.
  10. Participate in setting goals for packaging lines.
  11. Communicate and enforce safety and departmental rules.
  12. Establish a rotation pattern with employees to enhance production.
  13. Proactively manage 5S and LEAN concept.
  14. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education

Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.


Years of Related Experience

4 to 6 years of experience.
