Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a busy manufacturing department in Newberry, SC. You will direct daily operations, ensure safety and quality, and keep production on schedule while optimizing resources and costs.

You will develop and coach a diverse team, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and partner with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and improve performance in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant manufacturing leadership experience.
• Minimum of five years in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Proven leadership to motivate and develop staff.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, scheduling, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to hit safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Plan and coordinate work to maximize use of personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor performance and adjust to meet schedules and customer requirements.
• Coach and develop team members; manage performance and disciplinary actions.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives across the plant.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
