Job summary

Bradford White in Middleville, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor I to lead a 30-50 UAW hourly production team in a high‑volume environment. You will coach, train, and communicate to meet daily operations, quality and continuous improvement goals while ensuring safety and adherence to procedures.

The role emphasizes using Lean and Six Sigma concepts to reduce downtime, scrap, and improve labor efficiency; you will work closely with union relations and help implement product and engineering

Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience is required.
• Experience in Six Sigma/Lean processes is preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience in a union environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience in high-volume, medium mix assembly is preferred.
• 2 or 4-year degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team to achieve operations, quality and continuous improvement goals.
• Champion continuous improvement tools to reduce downtime, improve quality, reduce scrap, and achieve labor efficiency targets.
• Implement product and engineering changes successfully.
• Model and promote adherence to environmental, health and safety policies and initiatives.
• Ensure safety is top priority.
• Monitor work order progress and drives quality and timeliness of completion.
• Assist with maintaining time and attendance.
• Maintain working relationship with union by following the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
