Job summary

Xaloy is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead on-site manufacturing operations in a made-to-order environment. You will supervise machinists, welders, and operators while driving safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory manufacturing experience with 15+ direct reports or 10+ years without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Develop machinists, welders, and operators through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with EH&S requirements.
• Monitor schedules, staffing, attendance, and workflow to maximize efficiency and meet customer commitments.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Shipping, and other departments to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Support quality initiatives, nonconformance investigations, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Drive accountability and maintain adherence to policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Manage production tooling, equipment utilization, and related resources.

Production Supervisor

Reports To: Operations Manager
Location: On-Site Manufacturing Facility
Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, made-to-order production environment. This role is responsible for supervising machinists, welders, and operators while driving safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery performance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with machining experience, strong employee management skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and delivery objectives are achieved.
• Manage and develop machinists, welders, and operators through coaching, training, performance management, and employee engagement.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, attendance, and workflow to maximize efficiency and meet customer commitments.
• Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Shipping, and other departments to resolve production issues and improve performance.
• Support quality initiatives, nonconformance investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Drive accountability and maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Manage production tooling, equipment utilization, and related resources.

Requirements

Required

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Experience leading teams of 15 or more employees.
• Minimum 3 years of machining experience, preferably in a CNC machining environment.
• Working knowledge of CNC machining processes, mill/turn equipment, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using ERP and timekeeping systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and CAM software.

Work Experience Required:

• 5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a made-to-order manufacturing environment (with degree) or 10 years of experience (without degree), directly managing at least 15 employees.
• 3 years of experience in a machining environment

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular walking throughout a manufacturing facility, occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds, and the ability to work in both office and production environments.
