The Pivot Group Network is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Traverse City, MI network. This role focuses on month-end close activities, journal entries, and accurate general ledger processes for manufacturing clients.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years in GL accounting, familiarity with ERP systems, strong GAAP knowledge, and solid Excel skills. This position offers growth within a regional manufacturing recruiting group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting.
• Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and variances.
• Process accounts payable invoices and expense reports.
• Support annual external audits and provide requested documentation.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
