Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Manistee, MI is seeking a Staff Accountant to support month-end close, prepare journal entries, analyze cost of goods sold and inventory, and reconcile the general ledger. This role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of staff accounting experience in manufacturing, with strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills.

Experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years of staff accountant experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle).
• Inventory costing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports focusing on COGS and inventory.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Support external audits with documentation and schedules.
• Process AP/AR transactions accurately and timely.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
• Analyze production variances and provide insights to management.
