Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is partnering with manufacturing organizations in Mason, MI to recruit a Staff Accountant. This role focuses on general ledger, cost accounting, and month-end activities to support accurate financial reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and have 2+ years of GL accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing. Proficiency with ERP systems and a solid understanding of US GAAP are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and inventory.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, preparing journal entries and accruals.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and production data.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
