Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, a global manufacturer of access equipment, is seeking a Safety Specialist for our Houston area operations. The role focuses on protecting worker safety and ensuring regulatory compliance across manufacturing facilities.

You will conduct safety audits, investigate incidents, maintain DOT documentation, and lead training and ergonomics initiatives while coordinating with health services and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• Internship experience in a safety role is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits of facilities to pinpoint unsafe conditions and develop corrective recommendations.
• Investigate injury reports and ensure corrective action is taken.
• Maintain DOT program documentation and coordinate industrial hygiene testing.
• Oversee safety-related training and ergonomics initiatives.
• Update management with monthly/quarterly safety program status and metrics.

Manufacturing experience
