Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Safety Coordinator to maintain a safe, compliant workplace across our production facility. You will conduct industrial hygiene evaluations, deliver safety training, and act as a safety resource to drive regulatory compliance and injury prevention.

Your role includes audits, incident investigations, DOT documentation, and ergonomics program leadership, with collaboration across manufacturing, engineering, and health services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Internship experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits of facilities and develop corrective recommendations.
• Investigate injury reports and ensure corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation for DOT program.
• Coordinate industrial hygiene testing and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee required safety training to stay compliant.
• Update management on safety program status via reports.
• Lead ergonomics program initiatives.
• Coordinate with insurers and external consultants.
• Organize and manage Safety Representative Program.
• Collaborate with Health Services on workers’ comp concerns.
• Participate in Safety Implementation Team.
• Coordinate with production and engineering to design safe processes.
• Develop general accident prevention programs and protective procedures.
