Job summary

Agru America, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive safety policies across its manufacturing sites. The role focuses on maintaining a proactive safety culture, training employees, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The candidate will coordinate audits, manage safety documentation, and lead investigations into incidents to prevent recurrence, while collaborating with site leadership for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in employee health and safety, industrial safety or related area.
• 3-5 years’ safety experience in industrial/distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides regular certification/training on safety topics for new and current employees.
• Conducts on-site safety reviews/audits and job safety analyses to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Maintains OSHA administrative paperwork, training logs, and OSHA postings.
• Leads accident investigations and develops prevention programs across locations.
• Chairs safety committee meetings and coordinates safety initiatives with plant managers.
