Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced safety professional for the xPL Offsite Manufacturing Facility in Decatur, AL. The role focuses on educating the project team on EH&S programs and enforcing safe work practices across trades and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include developing the project safety program, reviewing subcontractor plans, and delivering safety training. Requires CHST or progression, OSHA 30, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field with 3 years of safety experience.
• CHST certification required or within two years.
• OSHA 30-hour training completed and CPR/First Aid current.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local EH&S regulations.
• Experience with construction safety programs and risk assessment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for safety training.
• Proficient in MS Office and collaboration tools.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to project needs.

Responsibilities

• Educate project team on EH&S programs and safe work practices.
• Promote compliance with EH&S policies and regulations.
• Build relationships with production teams and safety reps.
• Contribute to overall xPL safety program development.
• Enforce safety policies and implement corrective actions.
• Pre-plan activities with subcontractors and trades.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance.
• Attend Pre-Task Planning meetings to review risks.
• Lead pre-construction safety reviews with subcontractors.
• Create safety reports, analyze metrics, and recommend improvements.
