Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a capable Superintendent for the xPL Offsite division to plan, forecast, and lead multidisciplinary teams on Decatur-area projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, monitor safety, and ensure adherence to contract scope while sequencing work to meet production goals.

The role requires a solid background in construction management, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage complex schedules on manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field; minimum 3 years related experience.
• In-depth technical knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing means, methods, scheduling, cost control, contract docs, drawings and specifications.
• Able to anticipate and communicate issues/risks to non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, scopes of work, and schedules.
• EH&S practices knowledge.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, forecast, lead, direct, and coordinate work of xPL staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee adherence to contracted scope for safety, schedule, quality, and production planning.
• Supervise Trade labor within responsibility areas.
• Implement jobsite safety programs with EH&S team.
• Develop JHAs with Forepersons for daily pre-task planning.
• Monitor and report quantities and progress; adjust staffing to boost production.
• Manage procurement, scheduling, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
• Assist with bidding and constructability reviews; analyze drawings for manufacturing constraints.
