Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Operational Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in HSE or safety engineering within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Deep understanding of OSHA regulations and the hierarchy of controls for hazard mitigation.
• Proven ability to lead incident investigations and develop sustainable corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust engineering controls to mitigate workplace hazards and improve machine safeguarding.
• Lead comprehensive risk assessments and root-cause investigations to prevent future incidents and enhance operational reliability.
• Manage the site-wide hazardous energy control (LOTO) program, ensuring all procedures are validated and strictly followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety requirements into capital projects and equipment modifications from the design phase.
• Conduct regular floor-level audits and behavioral observations to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
• Provide technical guidance on ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and regulatory compliance to support site leadership and frontline staff.
