Job summary

Graham Packaging is seeking a Production & Quality Manager to join the plant leadership team. This role is responsible for overall production performance, product quality, workforce effectiveness, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, safety, and continuous improvement.

You will lead production and quality personnel, translate customer specs into manufacturing standards, drive SOPs and QC processes, and collaborate with Engineering, Sales, CS, and Logistics to meet operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, quality management, or a related production environment preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, driving performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Enforces safety, health, quality GMP policies and company procedures.
• Directs production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
• Leads production and quality personnel, including hiring, training, performance management, and development.
• Executes production schedules and staffing plans to maximize efficiency and product quality.
• Manages staffing levels and resources to achieve plant productivity and labor efficiency objectives.
• Develops, implements, and maintains SOPs, quality systems, and process controls.
• Translates customer specifications into manufacturing and quality standards, identifying critical control points.
• Oversees customer complaint investigations, corrective actions, and quality improvements.
• Defines, implements, and monitors GMP compliance, audits, and regulatory expectations.
• Leads continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
• Coordinates production-related projects including safety programs, process improvements, and CQI activities.
• Oversees inspection systems, process monitoring tools, and quality control systems.
• Maintains inventory levels of production supplies and collaborates with Maintenance for uptime.
• Collaborates with Engineering, Sales, CS, Logistics, and suppliers to meet customer requirements.
• Communicates production performance and quality metrics to management and stakeholders.
• Assists with physical inventories; may lead special projects.
• 0-25% travel may be required.
