Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Purchasing Analyst/Buyer with a strong background in manufacturing purchasing, preferably industrial manufacturing. The role focuses on raw materials, MRO, production supplies, and industrial components/equipment.

You will review requests, create POs, check inventory, source suppliers, negotiate terms, and manage open POs to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on purchasing experience in manufacturing.
Experience with raw materials, MRO, production materials or equipment.
ERP/MRP knowledge and strong Excel analysis ability.

Responsibilities

Review purchase requests for correct part numbers, specs, quantities and delivery requirements.
Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
Check inventory and material availability before purchasing.
Source suppliers and compare quotes for price, quality, availability and lead time.
Negotiate pricing, delivery dates and terms.
Monitor open POs and follow up on late or critical material.
Expedite materials to prevent production delays.
Coordinate with production, warehouse, receiving, shipping and accounting.
Resolve supplier shortages, quality issues and delivery discrepancies.
Verify supplier invoices against POs and receiving records.
Maintain supplier data, purchasing records and order history.
Prepare purchasing and supplier performance reports.
