Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Buyer Support Specialist to assist with purchasing, inventory analysis, supplier coordination, and maintaining procurement data in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Qualifications

• Two or more years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Experience working with an ERP system; Prophet 21 experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, or a related environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support purchasing activities by processing orders, maintaining accurate pricing and purchasing records, and coordinating with approved suppliers.
• Analyze inventory levels, usage trends, and purchasing data to support appropriate stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
• Utilize Excel to maintain procurement reports, forecasts, cost analyses, and other purchasing-related data.
• Monitor supplier lead times and delivery performance and communicate potential issues to the appropriate teams.
• Collaborate with purchasing, sales, engineering, warehouse, and other teams to align purchasing activity with production and customer needs.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory transactions within the company's ERP system.
• Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and other purchasing or supply chain projects.
