Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Buyer/Planner to ensure timely materials, accurate inventory, and aligned production schedules. The role partners with suppliers and internal teams to support daily operations in a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates bring basic purchasing and production planning knowledge, strong analytics, and ERP/MRP experience (Oracle a plus). This is a great entry to mid-level opportunity with room for growth within the supply chain

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of purchasing, inventory, procurement, or production planning.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems required (Oracle preferred).
• Previous manufacturing, inventory, administrative, or supply chain experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, parts, and services for production.
• Create and track purchase orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and help prevent shortages.
• Schedule production work orders and support manufacturing timelines.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries, pricing, and quality concerns.
• Resolve order, inventory, and invoice discrepancies.
• Update purchasing and planning information within the ERP system.
• Work with production, engineering, customer service, and quality teams.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
