Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Coppell, TX seeks a highly experienced purchasing professional with a strong track record in industrial manufacturing. The role centers on handling the full purchasing cycle within a plant/production environment, from requisitions to invoicing reconciliation.

The ideal candidate will source suppliers, compare quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure timely expediting and material availability, working closely with production, warehouse, and accounting teams.

Responsibilities

We are only interested in highly experienced purchasing professionals with a strong work history in manufacturing — preferably industrial manufacturing.

If your background is primarily healthcare, corporate office purchasing, finance, retail or non-manufacturing procurement, this is not the right fit.

We need someone who has personally handled the full purchasing cycle in a plant or production environment, including:

• Purchase requisitions and purchase orders
• Raw materials, MRO parts, production supplies or industrial equipment
• Supplier sourcing, quote comparison and negotiations
• Open PO follow‑up and expediting
• Inventory/material availability
• Supplier issues, late deliveries and discrepancies
• Invoice/PO/receiving reconciliation
• ERP/MRP purchasing systems
• Working directly with production, warehouse, receiving and accounting

Strong preference for candidates from industrial manufacturing, metal fabrication, machinery, automotive, aerospace, plastics, packaging or similar production environments.

This is not a training role. We are looking for someone who can step in with real hands‑on purchasing experience and understand the impact purchasing has on production.
