Job summary

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology or related field.
• 1 year of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with project management tools including MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with CNC machining operations, metal casting processes, and standard shop floor terminology.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, engineering drawings, and basic GD&T.
• Knowledge of foundry tooling, Magma, CNC machining a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with customer to understand the scope of the project, communicate updates, resolve issues, and build the customer relationship.
• Manage multiple projects anticipating and resolving issues by communicating and working with the customer, vendors, and the Griffin Team.
• Provide input and potential problem solutions to project team members.
• Review engineering change orders (ECOs), route technical data packages, and coordinate job-folder workflow between engineering, CNC machining, and pattern/foundry production teams.
• Track component manufacturing milestones, from raw metal casting through CNC machining, secondary operations, and final inspection.
• Document, communicate, and execute changes in the scope of the project.
• Develop new business opportunities through building strong customer relationships by excellent project communication and execution.
