Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Manufacturing Project Engineer for a new semitruck manufacturing facility in Portland, OR. You will plan and execute capital equipment projects, maintain schedules, and coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, suppliers, and contractors.

The role emphasizes hands-on layout work in AutoCAD, RFQ development, and project controls to ensure on-time, on-budget startup of the plant.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in project coordination/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with large capital equipment installation projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute new plant and capital equipment projects.
• Develop and maintain project documentation and schedules.
• Coordinate procurement, RFQs, and vendor evaluations.
• Track budgets, milestones, risks, and issues.
• Create layouts and perform factory/production process considerations.
• Assist with commissioning and production launch activities.
